Milage & active driving/golfing hours
This page is for myself, Margaret & other "figure filberts"! Active hours are driving to a destination city or golf course, playing golf, doing laundry, tire rotation or other services, almost anything OTHER than eating, sleeping or sitting in my motel room watching TV, reading a book or writing a blog!

Total miles for trip 6914
On the 28th, I left Aurora, CO (basically at the Denver Airport) at 7 a.m. Mtn. time, got a coffee at Dutch Bros. in Aurora, and drove straight through (except for two fuel stops) to Boise, arriving at 6:15 Mtn. time I probably could have driven farther, but I was close enough to get home in 5 hours on Sunday.
Played 17.5 rounds of golf (one 27 hole day, one 36 hole day) in 12 different states in 20 days and took two days to drive home. WHEN I go back out I will have already done most of the large, long travel day states. My re-route will pick up the ones I missed (Utah, Colorado) because of weather and possibly a few courses I had to pass by the first time for various reasons.
Mileage by state: Texas 1022, Arizona 755, California 601, Oregon 527, Idaho 524, Nevada 517, Louisiana 464, Kansas 392, Wyoming 359, Arkansas 330, Colorado 327, Washington 271, Utah 264, New Mexico 210, Oklahoma 181, Mississippi 153, Tennessee 17
There was no place I did not feel welcome and safe, except maybe on the freeways of Texas. I don't know if anyone is safe there!!
I particularly liked Louisiana (beautiful state!!) & Arkansas (everyone was super friendly, helpful).
I won't tell you what my budget was, but I stayed under well under it for the 30% of the trip I did complete. I hope to do as well when I go out again.
